“Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” – Genesis 17:5 (KJV)
A lot of times, people delay themselves from become the best of they can be by waiting for others to call them what they want to be. They tend to look at themselves as Wannabes instead of taking a mere step of acknowledging that they are what they have always wanted to be.
The thing with talent is that no one is excellent the first time. It takes a lot of time, endurance, determination and self-discipline.
Accept yourself as a Writer, a Singer or whatever you dream of, and don’t look at yourself as a Wannabe. This is very important because much of what you can do is determined by the picture that you hold of yourself.
Don’t waste time waiting for anyone to identify you by your aspired talent or profession. Just start writing, singing, drawing or whatever skill and talent that you dream of. The secret is in being.
